Nintendo Switch details

Nintendo last week has announced more details about their upcoming console the Nintendo switch It features three different modes TV mode, Tabletop mode and Portable Mode. TV modes allows you play your games on TV in HD, Tabletop mode allows to play the games using the Joy-Con controls around a table, while portable mode allows you to take your games on the go and play on a HD screen. It also has a multi-player online  mode that allows you to connect up to 8 consoles. More details on the console on  Nintendo's Website . It is available in two colors grey and neon it releases on Friday 3rd March  and is available for pre-order from EB Games and JB Hi Fi, it retails for $469. New Year, new posts

Happy New Year to all, this year DAB Tech Blog will continue to bring all the latest news in all thing Technology sourced from around the web. We started our first post for the year with Samsung, after the Note 7   debacle, Samsung has  unveiled it's Galaxy A range smartphones that are for the budget buyers who can't afford the higher end Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. There are three the A7 5.7 inch, A5 5.2 inch and the A3 4.7 inch. For more information see this article  on CNET.com. It will ship globally later this year. Pricing is yet to be announced. Sony's PS4 Pro Now available

Sony's new PS4 Pro is now available at stores across Australia. The new consoles has 4K and HDR support as well as PS VR support and higher specs than the original PS4.  It retails at $559 and has 1TB of storage. Microsoft announces new hardware and updates to Windows 10

Microsoft announced at an event in New York overnight, new hardware and an update to Surface Book.  The biggest announcement was a new product called Surface Studio designed for the creative market. The Surface Studio is designed to take on Apple's iMac and will be available for pre-order from today at $2,999 US . It has a tiltable display, an iCore 7 processor and 2TB of storage. Windows 10 is getting a creator edition update that will be released in early next year. Also announced at the event was the availability of Hololens. It has been released today for  an expensive $3,000 US. However other VR headsets will be available next year. Sony launches PS VR

Sony has offically released Playstation VR a Virtual reality headset designed for the PS4 system. It works by tracking movements through the PS4 Camera and has a processing unit that helps it track movement further. It is a tethered system so it requires you to be connected to the PS4. It is available for $549 from EB Games, JB Hi Fi and other stores. You must have a PS4 system and PS camera for it to work. See this  SMH article  for more information.
