Microsoft's New Surface Laptop

Microsoft has announced overnight their first real laptop the Surface Laptop. It was unveiled at a Microsoft EDU event in the US.

The new Surface Laptop is specifically aimed at the education market to take on Apple's Macbook Pro range that has largely dominated the education market up to now.

The new Surface Laptop has some impressive features these include:

  • A new version of Windows 10 called Windows 10 S ( A streamlined version of Windows 10) it can be upgraded  to Windows 10 Pro for free until Dec 17 2017. This will allow you to download non Windows Store apps
  • Available with solid state drive storage of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB
  • Memory options : 4GB, 8GB and 16GB RAM
  • Processor: iCore 5 or iCore 7
  • Fast boot up time
  • Standard USB 3.0
  • 13.5' pixel Sense touchscreen
